What the vendor says
Claude Platform docs describe Managed Agents as a pre-built harness on managed infrastructure, contrasted with the Messages API. Built-in tools listed: bash, file read/write/edit/glob/grep, web search and fetch, and MCP servers. Sessions can run in an Anthropic cloud sandbox or a self-hosted sandbox. The same overview lists scheduled deployments (recurring runs on a cron schedule) and says sessions are stateful, so the product is not currently eligible for Zero Data Retention or HIPAA BAA coverage. API requests require the managed-agents-2026-04-01 beta header. Create-endpoint rate limit on the reference page: 300 requests/minute; read endpoints 600/minute. This desk has not created a session.
